Dr. Michael DePoto
Dr. DePoto is a lifelong resident of Clifton. He grew up just around the corner from our office and graduated from Clifton High School and Montclair State University. He loves the variety that comes with being a dentist—he gets to meet so many interesting people from the community every day as well as perform a wide array of procedures to help them achieve their dental goals. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
As a child, Dr. DePoto actually liked going to the dentist and thought that it was interesting. He always asked a ton of questions while in the chair! This fascination stuck with him through school, so when it was time to choose a career path, he knew exactly what he wanted.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. DePoto earned his dental degree from the New York University College of Dentistry and completed the General Practice Residency program at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair. To keep up with the latest advancements in dentistry, he is a member of the American Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When he isn’t working, you’ll most likely find Dr. DePoto at home spending time with his wife, Christine, their two boys, William and Andrew, and their cat, Lucy. He likes to cook and tries to keep up with the ever-growing collection of Marvel and Star Wars movies. His most recent goal is that he is actively trying to get on Jeopardy!
